These photos date from approximately 1900. It is assumed that the
photos were taken on the land that was homesteaded by Dennis, Moses and Isham Cash in the
late 1850's. They come from a collection of photos kept in a trunk by Sam Houston Cash, of
Hot Springs Arkansas. Sam died at the age approximately 100(the actual age is open
to debate), in 1980.
The first picture shows the Cash Homestead. It is unusual in that
the log cabin shown is a two story log cabin. Shown are Henry, Sarah Allen and Sam
Houston Cash, as well as people assumed to be Lottie Cash and Sarah Allen. They are
shown holding up pictures. These pictures being held were also found in the old
trunk kept by Sam Cash.
